A huge thank you to everybody who supported a fantastic night out.
The Bumper prize of €250 was won by Niamh Morrissey, congratulations.
In total we raised just over €2000 from ticket sales and the raffle last night, which will certainly ease the financial burden on the players.

Hi All

We are hosting our U21 men ‘annual’ fundraising night out at the dogs on Thursday 4th August 2011. This is in aid of assisting the U21 men competing at the European Championships In Madrid in September.
Tickets are priced again this year at €10 and includes entry and a race card on the night.

…Again this year your ticket gives you a chance to win a €250 cash prize, each ticket has a unique number on it and the finishing sequence of the first four greyhounds in a selected race on the night will win the cash prize. Last years winner was Cathy Coughlan and she kindly donated the prize back to the squad.

Last years event raised a staggering €3,500 and we are hoping to match that this year.
We realise money is tighter this year and the squad have been effected too with no grant aid at all this year they are having to fund the trip themselves which is currently estimated at €1,000 per player to travel to the European Championships in Madrid in September.
I ask you all to dig deep and come to support the lads for a night out, bring your friends, work colleagues etc, and have a great night for us.

Our Hawks team have defied all the odds and become the 2011 Munster League champions, well done to all the lads, but they would be no where without the super stopping ability of Kelly Downes in goals.

Bad Company finish second in division 1 at the culmination of the Cabra Winter League against all the odds and being relegated to division 2 only 12 months ago, they fought hard to get back into division 1 and have managed to proved their mental (metal). well done lads.
